Jon Huck, Breakfast series

Portraits of people by Jon Huck featuring their chosen breakfasts (I highly recommend checking out the entire series).  The other project on his site, Couples looks great too.  I am so curious about how this shoot was done.  Did he ask them to pick a breakfast in advance?  Did they choose the framing?  Or did he somehow catch them by surprise?  The social part of art, the process, always fascinates me. Does it matter how authentic the experience of the portrait was?  I will never know either way.  (via)
